The Kurt Cobain Memorial Committee is announcing its first-ever benefit concert, Lounge Acts 2007, scheduled for 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, at the historic 7th Street Theatre in Hoquiam, Wash. The show is open to all ages. The fundraising event features seven high-quality rock bands from across the state. Several bands will include a cover of a favorite Nirvana song in their setlist. Many more sponsors have donated gifts, as well, and exciting surprises are being added daily.

Cincinnati-based graphic artist Brian Methe, who has worked with the Smashing Pumpkins, Queens of the Stone Age, Modest Mouse, Chris Cornell and numerous others, is designing the eventís limited-edition concert poster.

Tickets are $10 in advance and available from this website and at Rosevearís in Aberdeen. Cost at the door is $15.
