Chim Chim Chronicles: Chim Chim was the plastic monkey toy that Kurt had kept with him ever since his childhood. Chim Chim was a chimp that appeared on the popular 1960's cartoon Speed Racer. It was popular in the United States and in Japan. He was the pet of Speed Racer's little brother Spridle. This is from http://www.speedracer.com/ © Copyright 1998 Speed Racer Enterprises,Inc. "For comic relief there's none better than Speed's younger brother, Spridle, and his pet "chimp," Chim Chim. Spridle and Chim Chim are an inseparable team. Bound together by a common quest: candy! And while they may be obsessive when it comes to sweets, they also have great admiration for Speed Racer. And as luck would have it, the candy-crazed couple have a way of popping up at just the right time to pull Speed out of a jam so that he can go on to save the day. They have the disconcerting habit of sneaking on board the Mach 5 (Speed Racer's Racing Car) and behaving like stowaway stooges. These two whirlwinds pack a slapstick punch that's more powerful than the Ritz Brothers. Of course, Spridle and Chim Chim will do almost anything for candy. And this leads to fighting between themselves over whatever sweet bribes they manage to collect for their role in helping out Speed Racer. It's amazing how this pint-sized pair will face-off against seemingly insurmountable foes. Muscle- bound thugs (or gun-toting gangsters) can't stop them, cuz their high on sugar! The only time Speed Racer minds is when Spridle and Chim Chim get into trouble because of their candy cravings. And Mom Racer is a little miffed about the dental bills, but otherwise, Spridle's a good kid -- and Chim Chim's a good chimp." The show Speed Racer was brought back in the 1990's under the moniker "The New Adventures of Speed Racer." Spridle and Chim Chim's favorite place to hide in the Mach 5 was in the trunk. 05. Kabalarian Definitions of Nirvana Members Names: www.kabalarians.com Kurt: The name of Kurt creates a very musical, artistic, creative and philosophical nature. It creates very high ideals and inspirational, idealistic traits, but far too much sensitivity to be constructive. The extreme sensitivity causes you to suffer with thoughts that come into your mind unbidden--unusual types of thoughts which could result in fear and premonitions of the future. This name gives you a very versatile nature along artistic and creative lines, also literary aptitudes, but it does not allow sufficient shrewdness in business undertakings; nor would your interests lie particularly along business lines. You are interested in theology and the occult, and naturally seek the deeper reasons and cause of all things. Your nature is very deep, but is also far too emotional, and personal involvements are a result. The sensitivity of thought you experience is too great to control consistently and properly, and as a result dreams, nightmares, and various phobias could result. You crave love and affection, but this name separates you from understanding and closeness with people. You could be exceptionally brilliant in undertakings, but the name does not allow the stability required-- emotionally or mentally--to achieve success along your avenues of interest. Tension affects the bronchial organs, and depletion, through emotional excesses could result in fevers, asthma, arthritis or tuberculosis. The name creates much aloneness and misunderstanding, and does not allow happiness and fulfilment in life. Krist: Your name of Krist has many sterling qualities but does not give you an overall stability. Everything you do is done with an intensity to the point of fervour, and either you feel tremendous elation or you are in the depths of despair--you do not know from one minute to the next how you are going to feel. People often disappoint you because you are idealistic and are apt to place those whom you admire on a pedestal. Then you become disillusioned when they fall short of your expectations. You are quick mentally and like to see things moving at an accelerated pace. Patience is not one of your virtues-- you want to move when the impulse strikes you. While such spontaneity is fine at times, you must take account of conditions and employ careful analysis so as to avoid disastrous results due to hasty actions. Most things you do, you do well, but as soon as the task, hobby, or job becomes familiar or routine, you become bored and crave a change. Travel and new horizons ever intrigue you, but your hunger for greener fields is insatiable, and so you never experience contentment and peace of mind. There is such a driving power within you. If you cannot find an outlet, or if your actions are thwarted in some way, you feel the reaction through extreme tension in the region of your solar plexus, and the intensity and consequent outbursts leave hurt feelings in their wake--usually involving those closest to you. However, the name makes you far too sensitive and high-strung, and could cause you to suffer with nervous indigestion or ulcers. Dave: The name of Dave creates a very quick, analytical and clever mind; you are very creative, versatile, original and independent. You have large ambitions, and it is difficult for you to be tolerant and understanding with those who desire less in life or who are more slow and methodical by nature. Patience is not your forte. You do, however, have leadership ability and would never be happy in a subservient position. You are ambitious and aggressive by nature. You would be happiest, however, in positions where you are free to express individually and creatively and where opportunities are not restricted; you desire freedom, and do not tolerate being possessed by others. You appreciate change and travel, and the opportunity to meet and mix with others, and to influence them with your creative ideas. You are very self- confident and feel you can accomplish anything you set out to do, and you can; however, this name does not allow proper completion of undertakings, and forced changes cause financial losses and bitter experiences. This name also creates very caustic expression and moods which prevent harmony and happiness in close association. When under strain, tension could affect the stomach and solar plexus, and there is a tendency for you to worry. 06. Get To Know: Jason Everman -Jason joined Nirvana in 1989 and is credited as being the 2nd guitarist on the Nirvana album Bleach, but did not actually play on any of the songs. The credit was admitted by Kurt Cobain to be as a token of thanks for paying for the recording of the album -Jason's first show on second guitar with Nirvana was at a party at the K Dorm of Evergreen State College, Olympia, WA in early February 1989 and his last show was 07/18/89 at Pyramid Club at New Music Seminar in New York, NY -It became apparent that Jason didn't fit in with the band as initially hoped, especially on the album's supporting tour (the group described his on-stage demeanor as too ‘showbizzy,' while offstage, he was introverted). Before leaving Nirvana, Everman did manage to play on two Nirvana recordings, a cover of Kiss' "Do You Love Me" for indie tribute album, "Hard to Believe" and a version of "Dive" that appears on the box set -Jason then almost immediately joined Soundgarden in 1989 for six months on bass to tour in support of "Louder Than Love" only to be later replaced on the tour by Ben Shepherd -Jason was reportedly born in 1964 according to a radio interview he did when he was still playing bass with Soundgarden For more info: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&uid=MIDMR0407211230&sql=11:oo520rnac48i~T1 -Jason appears on bass for on the album "Lo Flux Tube" by OLD. The album was released in November 1991 on Earache Mosh. It was officially released on CD February 11th, 1992 For more info: http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000008J3C/702-2623058-3595217 -Jason appears on Mindfunk's 2nd album called 'Dropped' released by Megaforce Records in May 1993 on guitar and back-up vocals. He left Mindfunk in September 1994 to join the Army 2nd Ranger Battalion and the Special Forces For more info: http://www.student.nada.kth.se/~d94-mry/mf/ 08.
