|NFC News Subways, Oxford Collapse reveal Nirvana influence|
Singer Michael Pace of Brooklyn indie rock band Oxford Collapse reveals Nirvana influence in a recent SEE Magazine interview.
I remember my cousin Charlie going into his bedroom; he had this Ozzy Osbourne Bark at the Moon poster. I thought it was terrifying. Then when you get a band like Nirvana, just guys in jeans and t-shirts coming around and you're 13 years old and it's like, 'Wow, you don't have to be this, you don't have to look like this rock star to be awesome' is definitely very inspiring.
Talking to ITN, Billy Lunn from The Subways also declared his love for Nirvana and said his most rock and roll moment was meeting Dave Grohl from The Foo Fighters.
I grew up with Nirvana and I love Nirvana and The Foo Fighters. To have Dave Grohl come up to us and say do you want to support us, it just blows your mind.
