Grohl hands out Outstanding Achievement prize to Led Zeppelin
Former Nirvana drummer, Foo Fighter Dave Grohl got to hand out the Outstanding Achievement prize to heroes Robert Plant and Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, held Tuesday, September 2, at London's Royal Opera House.
The award they were voted for by staff at GQ magazine, was handed out to Led Zeppelin for their one off reunion show at the O2 Arena in London last December.
Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones joined Dave Grohl and his band The Foo Fighters on stage at their second show at London's Wembley Stadium in June. According to NME, the one-night-only supergroup came together at the encore of the Foos' show, performing classics Rock'n'Roll and Ramble On.

Grohl later told BBC he still gets nervous with the band, because spending time with Led Zeppelin is like "being around gods": They were without a doubt my favourite band of all time, and I learned how to play drums by listening to Led Zeppelin records, and I studied Jimmy Page's acoustic and electric guitar work…I didn't go to college - I'm a high school drop out. I studied Led Zeppelin.
