Here are some reviews of the album: Pitchfork, NME, Aversion.com, Drowned in Sound, MusicOMH.com and Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
Rolling Stone Magazine's brief review of the album reads as follows: "Eleven years after the death of Kurt Cobain, we appear to have reached the dregs of the Nirvana vaults. The three new tracks added to this collection of the cream of last year's rarities box set are all early versions of previously heard songs, including a hiss-drenched, amateurish 1985 rendition of "Spank Thru." Still, for casual fans unready to wade through a three-disc box - but still willing to endure grungier-than-grunge recording quality - this sampler may be a welcome flannel-stocking stuffer."
In other related news, Universal Music recently made the complete 48 minute "Sliver: The Best of the Box" radio special available on their new revamped website. "Featuring new technology and a new unified look, the sites are designed to be both engaging and easy-to-navigate, providing access to more than 30,000 sound clips as well as videos, TV spots, artist bios, press releases and more."
