NFC News Nirvana on stage
It looks like a theatrical production invoking a bit of Nirvana will hit Seattle's Moore Theatre on March 23 and 24. More info:

Spectrum Dance Theater
Nevermind
The Moore Theatre
March 23 & 24 @ 8 pm

"Choreographed by acclaimed SDT Artistic Director, Donald Byrd, Nevermind explores the theater of danced narrative and 'the other' or outsider as a dramatic impetus. Evoking the music explosion of the 'grunge' era, Nevermind examines the music of Nirvana alongside the autobiographical elements of Kurt Cobain's music, writings and tragic death. Short Dances/Little Stories and I've Got the Wilis round out the evening's repertory."

NFC News New Kurt Cobain documentary to air in UK; includes interview with Duff McKagan
This sunday (February 18), a new documentary called "The Last 48 Hours of Kurt Cobain" will air on BBC2 in the UK at 10 PM. The 80 minute program will "[use] the testimony of people who knew him and witnesses who saw him in his last days to piece together the last movements of the Nirvana frontman who committed suicide in 1994."

Duff McKagan, formerly of Guns N' Roses and now with Velvet Revolver, was reportedly one of the last people to see Kurt Cobain alive and is thus interviewed for the documentary. Journalist Greg Prato recently interviewed the film's director, John Dover, who reveals some interesting details. You can read the interview here.

NFC News Courtney and Frances Bean at Versace galla
"Donatella Versace was applauded by some of Tinseltown's biggest names when she received the Rodeo Drive Walk Of Style Award this week. But despite the presence of many of the movie industry's hottest leading ladies, it was the rarely seen daughter of an iconic rocker who garnered the most attention at an after-party to celebrate the event.

Fourteen-year-old Frances Bean Cobain, whose father was Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, caused quite a stir when she rolled up to the lavish bash with her mother Courtney Love. With her striking pale blue eyes and long dark hair, the young woman managed to turn plenty of heads as she mingled with the likes of Sharon Stone and Tyra Banks for the evening."

NFC News Nirvana makes you gay?
Curious story from Uncut magazine: "Listening to The Doors, Wilco or even Nirvana will turn your children gay, according to an internet database created by Donnie Davies, a 'reformed' homosexual who in his own words found a way to 'escape' from being gay.

Davies believes that 'God hates homosexuals', and has compiled a list of music artists for Christian families to avoid, claiming that: 'One of the most dangerous ways homosexuality invades family life is through popular music.' "
