NFC News Everett True book about Nirvana is out
"NIRVANA: The True Story is an incisive re-evaluation of a band that has been repeatedly misrepresented. Author Everett True was the only journalist allowed into the Cobain house immediately after Kurt's death. A personal friend of many of the stars of grunge, True also knows all the stories behind the myths and in NIRVANA: The True Story reveals what the legendary band was really like. He tells what happened to Cobain in Olympia and Seattle, how Kurt first met Courtney and gives all the lowdown on the scenes, the seminars, the live dates, the friends and the drug dealers surrounding the grunge explosion. [...] For the first time, here is a true insider's commentary of one of rock's most influential bands."
You can find a fresh review of the book by
The Independent and order the book here.
Copies of the book will be given away in the next NFC competition (coming soon!)

NFC News "Nevermind" 15th anniversary
In the September 23 issue of NME, you'll find a Nirvana cover story featuring funny facts and trivia behind each song on the Nevermind album, selected musicians telling NME why they love the album, a brand new interview with Courtney Love, previously unpublished photos from the album shoot (and a fresh comment from the baby on the cover, Spencer Elden, who is now 15), as well as new comments from some of the key players - including Chad Channing, Butch Vig and Nirvana's UK publicist at the time.
There's also a "Kurt at 40" fictional account of what the singer's life would be like today. In the following issue of NME, published September 30, they promise a rare interview with Krist Novoselic. More info on that later. Some articles online about the anniversary:

NFC News Fans don't want Nirvana to reunite with new singer!
After almost 20,000 votes, the latest NFC Poll finished with a very clear result: 80% of the voters did not fancy the idea of Nirvana reforming with a new lead singer. While expected, the choice to end Nirvana with Kurt Cobain's untimely death in 1994 is clearly supported by the vast majority of their fans. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote. A new poll is up now. View previous poll results here.
