This unofficial fansite is dedicated to the legendary Seattle rock band Nirvana. The website presents Nirvana fans with an extensive collection of information, pictures, sound clips, music videos, fan-made artwork, news and much more. You can also find a popular discussion board and chatroom where fans can gather to talk about the music that Nirvana created.

If you'd recall, last month the estate of Kurt Cobain was suing regarding the Guitar Hero 5 game for misuse of his likeness. It now seems as though No Doubt will follow suit with the same thing in regards to Activision's (the developers of the Guitar Hero series) new game, Band Hero. Read more about this new development.

The eagerly awaited Live at Reading DVD has now been released worldwide.

One of Nirvana's best and most iconic performances is finally captured as a high-quality DVD - the latest offering from the catalogue.

The August 30, 1992 headlining concert marked Nirvana's return to the stage after the birth of Kurt Cobain's daughter, not to mention a period of much turmoil for the band.

It was a triumphant return with one of the longest concerts the band ever played, including songs that had yet to be released at that point, and an early version of what would become tourette's on In Utero.

The DVD, which includes the complete show, also depicts the band sharing funny onstage banter, engaging actively with the audience, and completely trashing their instruments by the end of the show.

The concert - which has been partially broadcast on radio several times, and long available in collector's circles in full - was way overdue an official release. The crisp color-corrected picture quality and re-mastered audio offers a great treat for Nirvana fans - not to mention an audio track which is now available in DTS and Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound.

While an original MySpace post about the DVD promised "a wealth of exclusive bonus features", the DVD, unfortunately, contains no bonus features at all. The only small bonus is a previously unseen clip after the credits of Kurt Cobain walking off stage, signing an autograph, and talking to a fan.

The limited edition DVD package also contains a CD of the show. Due to time constraints, the CD is heavily edited, omitting in-between song banter and such, as well as the track Love Buzz.

The historic concert is a must-have, though. It's one of Nirvana's finest performances, preserved for posterity in pristine quality, and definitely worthy of many subsequent watches/listens.

On a quick early morning search for internet related Nirvana items, I came across this link which I'd like to share with everyone: Bleach rerelease photos. And because most of the time I read the following when looking at Kurt's photos - he smiles in some of them!

Exciting news for those of you out there that enjoy Rock Band, the videogame: this Tuesday, expect to see some Nirvana and Foo Fighters to add to your repertoire! The songs included are as follows:

Nirvana: About A Girl, Blew and School (all from Bleach)

Foo Fighters: Best Of You, The Pretender, Wheels and Word Forward (all from their new Greatest Hits album)

There's also a Joan Jett song too, for the record, but you can find all that information here!

Interesting word of note to you all: Bleach rereleased, Foo Fighters greatest hits comp, and now this! All set to be released on November 3rd. Strangely reminiscent of when Dave Grohl was on Queens of the Stone Age's Songs For The Deaf, that Nirvana compilation was released and One By One was released by the Foo Fighters 4 years ago? Either way, circle November 3rd on your calendars, if you haven't by now!

Krist Novoselic recently wrote a wonderful blog post about the setup (and doubt) of the Reading Festival 1992 show. You can read it here, as well as some articles reviewing new music (including former tourmates, Pearl Jam - Backspacer).

One of the more interesting articles, however, is the posting of an MP3 from the elusive Melvana show (the song is Sacrifice). That old (2 years old) article can be found right over here.
