E-mailing the NFC webmaster
Before you send an e-mail to the NFC webmaster - please take the following into consideration. The webmaster gets many repeated e-mails. Thanks in advance.
1) If you have a Nirvana trivia question of some sorts - you can often find an answer from one or more of the following resources:
NFC FAQ, Mini FAQ,
Nirvana FAQ,
Kurt Cobain Equipment FAQ (guitar questions), news section or
NFC Board. Or search Google.
2) If you have a question about Nirvana live concerts, official releases, songs or something similar related to their actual music - make sure you are familiar with these resources:
Nirvana Live Guide, DN Song Guide,
Nirvana Discography, Nirvana Bootography
LN Sessions History, LN TV Guide,
LN Companion to Official Releases, NFC Info section.
3) Please do not ask how/where to find specific Nirvana-related songs, videos, concerts, sessions, bootlegs, CDs etc. Most Nirvana rarities are available
on the 2004 box-set "With The Lights Out". If you are looking for live concert recordings, go to LN.
4) If you have been banned from the NFC Discussion Board and feel it is unjustified, you may contact the moderator who performed
the ban. Make sure, however, that you are completely aware of the board rules.
Important: If you send any questions related to your status on the board, make sure to include your nfc board username in your e-mail.
If you have lost your password, go here. If you have lost your username, go here.
You can change e-mail here and password here.
5) If you need information about Kurt Cobain and/or Nirvana for a school project - please use the resources mentioned above. For further
details I strongly recommend picking up the books Heavier Than Heaven by
Charles R. Cross (Cobain Biography), Come As You Are: The story of Nirvana by Michael Azerrad,
and possibly Teen Spirit by Chuck Crisafulli if you need information about Nirvana's lyrics. Check your local library also.
6) Please do not e-mail me about a "rare" Nirvana or Kurt Cobain song you have obtained through KaZaa/eMule or a similar Internet file-sharing
service. Many of these so-called rarities (i.e. Suffocation, Asshole and Cocaine Girl) have nothing to do with Nirvana. In many cases, the song is mislabeled (often on purpose)
or otherwise a hoax.
Half the man I used to be is NOT a Nirvana song! It is a song by Stone Temple Pilots called "Creep". If the song you found is not listed
here then it's not Nirvana. Please check the NFC FAQ
for a list of some of the most common fakes. Also check out the Nirvana Fakes Guide for details on fake songs and mislabels.
7) Please e-mail me in ENGLISH ONLY! I can only understand English and some Scandinavian languages (Danish, Swedish and Norwegian).
8) For information about the movie Last Days by Gus Van Sant please go here or here for all the details. DO NOT e-mail me about this movie.
9) "Can you add a link to my website?" Well, yes. You can submit a new link yourself by clicking here! Only links to Nirvana-related sites are accepted.
10) If you have a Nirvana cover or artwork you want to submit to the website, please upload it to The Vault.
11) We currently have no information about future official Nirvana releases (albums, DVDs and such). Any such information will be made available in the news section first.
